Naarm (Melbourne) based artist SON RAY aka RAY OTW announces his EP/Mixtape 'HARANA' due Valentine's day 2023.

Harana is a homage to his heritage and early sonic influences of RnB, slow jams, and hip hop. The project fulfills an exploration and expression of romance; from love unrequited, love attained and love lost — reconciling contradictory feelings of longing and bliss while mimicking the varied rhythms of romantic interest, whether tumultuous or serene. Colored by ethereal and velvety grooves of deep-cut 90s and 00s RnB samples, Harana is a synthesis of self-examination — embracing past experiences with personal relationships through curation of samples and featured artists to convey what emotions and words were left unsaid, fantasized, or realized. Featuring Naarm local acts Khya, CD, and Sevn Aguarda, all prominent powerhouse artists in Naarm's underground, Harana sets the tone for what it means to accurately meld specific yet expansive taste into a concise body of work that simulates a personally directed dedication playlist with determination to swoon.
